Breathless by Brigid Kemmerer #2.5 Elemental Series

Title - Breathless #2.5 in the Elemental Series
Author - Brigid Kemmerer
Genre - Paranormal, YA, Fantasy, eNovella
UK Release Date - 30th April 2013
Source - NetGalley
Synopsis - Too many secrets. Not enough time.

Nick Merrick is supposed to be the level-headed one. The peacemaker. Since it’s just him and his three hotheaded brothers against the world, that’s a survival tactic.

But now he’s got problems even his brothers can’t help him survive.

His so-called girlfriend, Quinn, is going quick as mercury from daring to crazy. Meanwhile, Quinn’s dancer friend Adam is throwing Nick off balance, forcing him to recognize a truth he’d rather shove back into the dark.

He can feel it—-the atmosphere is sizzling. Danger is on the way. But whatever happens next, Nick is starting to find out that sometimes nothing you do can keep the peace.

I am a huge fan of the Elemental Series. Saying that though this is my first Elemental novella. I just can't seem to part ways with my money for a novella. No matter how awesome the series. And after reading Breathless I never will.

It was too darn short. I can honestly say it felt like a 10 minute read. 65 pages to be exact.

There's only one word to describe this novella. Teaser. The synopsis really says it all, but boy was I surprised. Was anybody else expecting that reveal? I definitely wasn't.

Brigid Kemmerer manages to tease us with a glimpse of Nick's story but promises to give us a full length novel, called Siege  Book 4 in the Elemental Series. Only problem; it's released in 2014. But not all is bad because Spirit, Book 3 is set to be released in May 2013.

I'm not going to rate this novella. It was too short and I feel if made myself rate it I'd give it low number, based on it's length and the Elemental Series is a great series.
